Lack of Family Income Forces Family to Sell Life on Ebay

CNN talked to the Peters family. Greg and Brittiny Peters have three children, two who need constant medical attention. The family income only comes from Greg who is a tennis instructor. Brittiny needs to stay at home with the children. To pay for their children’s $20,000 in medical bills the Peter’s are selling everything they own on Ebay.

The Peter’s family income was nowhere near enough to pay for the bills of having one child with autism and another with a rare form of arthritis called stills disease. The family received an overwhelming response on Ebay; but not from buyers. A lot of people wanted to make donations to the family and not take their things. The family has said they will donate 10% of the donations they receive to organizations dedicated to help the diseases their children have. The Peter’s family does not have the freedom to increase their family income by adding another job due to the responsibilities of the children.
